Sharee and Mark Engagement Pictures

When my best friend Sharee told me she was getting married I told her I wanted to take her engagement pictures as a present. She gladly accepted, I had a fun afternoon of hanging out with Sharee and Mark, these are just a select few pictures that I took.

These are a few studio pictures I took while attending the Art Institute of Colorado. They might look pretty simple, but they were taken on large format camera. Each shoot took about 4 hours to set up. Usually we would take about 3 to 4 shots. It was not fun if the negatives didn't turn out; lots of trial and error. These were all scanned into a computer where we had to clean up any dust that might have gotten on the negatives and then turn them into our teacher. If it didn't meet his expectations we had to set up studio time and retake the photos. Needless to say as simple as some may look it took lots of time make sure everything was set up correctly.

Here it goes

I’ve thought about starting a website or blog for awhile now. I’m not much of a writer but I have a love of photography. I started taking photography classes in middle school continued in high school and attended the Art Institute of Colorado for a year. I’ve always wanted to share my pictures so I thought this would be a good place to start. I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I have enjoyed taking them and the memories they’ve brought me.
